Ratnagiri
Is located in the southwestern part of Maharashtra state on the Arabian sea coast.
It forms a part of the greater tract known as Konkan. This tract is historically
famous for it’s long coastline and convenient harbors. The surrounding area
is boardered by the Sahyadri Hills on the West. The furtile alluvial valleys produce
the luscious Alphonso mango, coconut and rice as the main crops. Fruits and cashewnut
cultivation is also being promoted.
HOW TO REACH?
By Road – Ratnagiri is well connected by road transport with important towns
such as Mumbai-350 kms, Pune-300kms, kolhapur – 120kms.
By Rail- The college is approximately 7kms away from the ratnagiri station. Konkan
railway is very convenient to reach Ratnagiri which is located exactly between Mumbai
and Goa. Mandavi Express & Janashatabdi Express takes 6 hrs. to reach Ratnagiri.
